THE VILLA

The house is built in the style Buka, which means, "open". The high traditional thatched roof internally creates a majestic cathedral-like effect and provides natural air circulation in all rooms allowing for a very comfortable temperature during the day. The entire building is focused on outside living, even the bathrooms. On the front side of this huge house you discover a large stylized pond with fish and beautifully scented lilies and lotus flowers. A bench is provided in this secluded garden for tranquil contemplation. From different parts of the garden and lounging areas to the front and back of the villa you can enjoy amazing sunrises over the mountains or sunsets over the Bali Sea and the distant volcanoes of Java. The beautifully landscaped tropical gardens are immediately adjacent to the beach. There are two large comfortable Bale benongs (gazebos). This typical Balinese resting place, with soft mattresses and pillows give a direct view of the pool, sea and gardens. In the evening you can admire the spectacular sunsets from here while sipping a tropical cocktail. Lighting and power sockets are provided so that reading and internet are easy.

The terrace offers a magnificent view of both the tropical garden, swimming pool and the sea where the fishermen in the early morning with their colourful traditional boats catch tuna and shoals of tiny silvery fish. Dolphins have been seen 4 meters off the beach right in front of the villa! Around full moon you may even see a turtle on the beach. The villa has a stunning open plan lounge, luxury leather sofas  and a home theatre system with projector and surround-sound. The 4 double bedrooms are all spacious and tastefully decorated. Two of these bedrooms have a unique outdoor bathroom made of marble and slate. The shower area is enhanced by orchids and other tropical plants. There are niches created so you can view the garden and the sea but you still have privacy while bathing. All 4 bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and air-conditioning. However, the fourth bedroom on the first floor can easily be enjoyed open to the cooling natural air currents, with a 4-poster bed and mosquito net. This bedroom has a magnificent veranda with 3-piece seating, tables and looks straight out over the Bali Sea. All rooms also have fans. Up to 8 guests can stay in Puri Segara.

SWIMMING POOL

The large infinity swimming pool, made of natural stone, is suitable for swimmers of all ages and measures 18 meters by 6 meters and a depth of 1 to 2 meters with easy access down gentle steps. Two beautiful statues pour water into the pool to add to the luxurious effect of being in your own private 5-star hotel-like environment. Beside the pool are comfortable sun-loungers where the sound of the adjacent splashing of a "living" waterfall will totally relax you.

THE STAFF

The staff include a cook / housekeeper, gardener and security guard. The cook is excellent and can buy and prepare for you both Balinese and Western food or, if you prefer to prepare your own food, you will find the kitchen fully equipped.

ACTIVITIES

At your request and payment we can arrange at the villa the following extra activities:

• Art workshops of drawing, painting, wood carving
• Balinese Cooking Class
• Balinese dance or even gamelan orchestra performances
• Reiki, Energy healing, reflexology, aromatherapy, meditation, yoga classes or sessions
• Dolphin watching, fishing or snorkeling, with the boat picking you up right from in front of the villa.
• Enjoy at any hour of the day an invigorating massage. A massage couch is provided for guests to experience a Balinese Lulur massage using traditional spices and exotic scents like cempake, sandat, and frangipani.

A Croquet and Badminton set is also provided at the villa.

One of the owners of the villa ran a spa school in Hong Kong and therefore understands the needs of the individual to relax and rejuvenate and their villa reflects her passion for balance and healing.
